Reflectix as soundproofing material? While visiting a local r

While visiting a local renovation store I came across this product called Reflectix. It is a double layer of bubble wrap sandwiched between two layers of aluminium and three layers of polyethylene, as portrayed in this stunning Colorama visualization.

Re: Reflectix as soundproofing material? While visiting a loc

It's always intriguing to come across unique products like Reflectix in renovation stores! The layered design you described certainly sounds innovative. When it comes to soundproofing in cars, my personal experience has been primarily with Sound deadener. Their products are specifically engineered for vehicular noise dampening and are highly effective in reducing vibrations and unwanted sounds.

While Reflectix might offer some level of insulation or reflection (especially given its aluminum component), the dynamics in car soundproofing can be quite specific, and not all materials translate well from home renovation to automotive application. If you're considering Reflectix for automotive purposes, it might be worth researching how it performs in that context or perhaps even conducting a small test area first.
